Praxivara Phone comes with built-in limits and caps so your calling stays predictable. This page explains how many numbers you can rent, how usage is capped, and how calls are billed.
How many numbers you can rent
You can rent multiple phone numbers, up to a maximum per workspace. Each rented number is a paid add-on with a recurring charge. If you need more numbers, you can rent more up to the limit; if you need fewer, release the ones you no longer use.
| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| Numbers per workspace | Up to 5 |
| Number rental | Recurring add-on charge per number |
| Inbound & outbound calls | Billed from your credits by call length |
Caps keep costs in check
Calls draw on your credits, so caps protect you from surprise spend during an unusually busy period. When a cap is reached, further calling pauses until the limit resets or you adjust it. This means a spike in inbound calls or a long outbound call can't quietly run up a large bill.
How calls are charged
Phone usage is billed from your account credits:
- Renting a number is a recurring add-on cost, shown before you confirm.
- Calls are charged based on how long they last, for both inbound and outbound.
You can track everything on the Usage page, and if you run low, you can top up with a credit pack.
Common questions
What happens when a cap is reached?
Calling pauses until the cap resets or you raise it, so you never exceed the limit you set.
Do I still pay for a number if I don't use it?
Yes. The rental is a recurring add-on charge that applies whether or not the number takes calls, so release numbers you no longer need.
What if I run out of credits mid-call?
Keep an eye on your balance and top up with a credit pack. Running low can interrupt calling, so it's worth setting aside a buffer.
