Renting a phone number

Choose a phone number, add it to your workspace, and get your assistant ready to answer and place calls.

Before your assistant can answer or place calls, you need to rent a phone number. Renting a number adds a real, dedicated line to your workspace that your assistant uses for both inbound and outbound calls.

Rent a number

Open Praxivara Phone

Go to the Praxivara Phone section of the platform and choose to add a new number.

Pick from available numbers

Browse the available inventory and select a number you like. When you confirm, the number is reserved for your workspace.

Confirm the add-on

Renting a number is a paid add-on. You'll see the cost before you confirm, and it's added to your subscription.

Tip. Give your assistant clear context about your business right after you rent a number, so its very first calls sound informed and on-brand.

Set up your number

Once the number is active, tell your assistant how you want calls handled: how it should greet callers, what it can help with, and when it should take a message or wrap up. The more context you provide, the more natural and useful each call becomes.

Managing your numbers

You can rent more than one number, up to the limit on your plan. Each number lives in your workspace, and you can review its settings and usage at any time. If you no longer need a number, you can release it to stop the recurring add-on charge.

Heads up. Releasing a number is permanent. Once it's released it goes back to the pool and may not be available to rent again, so keep it if there's any chance you'll need that exact number later.
