The Email channel gives your assistant its own address at assistant.praxivara.com. Write to it from the inbox you already use — a question, a task, a file to look at — and your assistant replies in the same email thread, on any device. Everything it does over email also appears in your Praxivara chat on the web.
Connect Email
In the app sidebar, open Your devices and choose Email.
Choose Turn on Email. Your assistant gets its own address, for example [email protected]. Copy it and save it as a contact in your mail app.
Your account email is already on the list and stays there. To write from another address, add it under Who can email it and enter the code we send to that address.
Email the address anything — “What is on my calendar tomorrow?”, a document with “Summarize this”, a request to draft something. The reply comes back to you as a normal email.
Why you might pick Email
- It fits how you already work. Forward something the moment it arrives, or write from a desk where you have mail open and nothing else.
- Files come along. Attach a PDF, a spreadsheet, a photo — your assistant reads and works with what you send.
- Nothing to install. Any mail app on any device, including a work account you cannot add apps to.
- A proper thread. Reply to a reply and the conversation carries on; your assistant only reads the new part, not the quoted history underneath.
Who gets a reply
Only the addresses on your list are answered. Your account email is on it permanently, and you can add a few more — a work address, a second personal one — each confirmed with a code before it counts. Mail from any other address is ignored without a reply — only the addresses you chose can reach your assistant. Automatic messages such as out-of-office replies and newsletters are ignored too.
Good to know
- Your email conversation appears in the web app as a chat called Email, with the same memory and connected tools as everywhere else, so you can carry on from your computer.
- Send an email whose whole message is new chat to start a fresh conversation instead of continuing the current one.
- Your permission mode applies here too. When your assistant needs to check with you, it asks by email: reply YES to allow it or NO to skip it. When it offers YES ALWAYS, that reply adds the action to your Always allowed list.
