Hosting, credits and usage

What uses credits in a web app: building, hosting while live, AI features, email and scans, and where to see it, without surprises.

On this page

Web Apps uses the same credits as everything else in Praxivara. Nothing here has a separate bill; every cost is credits off your balance, and every app has its own line on the Usage page so you can see what each one used.

What uses credits

ActivityWhen it is charged
BuildingEach builder turn, for the work it does. A short change costs little; a big first build costs more.
HostingDaily, while the app is live, at a rate that follows the app's own traffic over the previous thirty days. The rate is shown before you publish.
AI features in the appEach call your app makes, billed to you, never to your users. Or free if it runs through your own key.
EmailEach message the app sends.
Security scan and SEO scanPer scan.
Social content and generated imagesPer generation.

What does not

  • Searching and using library photography.
  • Running a backend function or an automation. A run costs only the services it uses, such as emails it sends.
  • Rendering PDFs.
  • Visitors, sign-ins, data reads and writes, API calls.

Hosting in more detail

Hosting is charged once a day for each app that is live. The daily rate depends on how many people visited the app over the previous thirty days, so a quiet app costs little and a busy one pays for what it uses. The exact rate is on the Publish panel and on the Usage page. Taking an app offline stops the charge; publishing again starts it.

Storage

An app's files, uploads and generated PDFs count toward your account's storage, charged in credits a little each day based on how much you store, like everything else here. You can see it on the Usage page.

Keeping costs predictable

  • Use Discuss to plan before a big build.
  • Put AI features behind sign-in and on buttons, never on page load.
  • Store your own AI key as a secret if you would rather pay your provider directly.
  • Archive automations you no longer need.
  • Take an app offline while it is not in use.
